Very clean and cheap. Staff very helpfull and polite and the location is excellent! Worth it, I recommend it.
At first impression what I didn`t like they have no breakfast but after get the hotel, I realize tha was the best and cheap bakery just on the ground floor next to it. Opening very earling and closing very late.
Location was great and the daytime staff was very helpful in arranging tours, shows etc. The room was great for the price but it was certainly not luxurious. Overall it was a terrific stay.
Bed was hard, wifi wasn't working well in the room I was in, and you could hear the noises from outside,
The location was great.
We asked for a wake up call at 7:00am. The call came at 8:00am. The room was above a bar/rest with a lot of noise at night.
Location is unbeatable. Right in the city center. Surrounded by shops, resturants, metro, bus stop. Hop on hop off service leaves just a minute away from hotel. Staffs were very polite and co-operative. Good value for money
Great location! Next to sol metro and a short walk to plaza mayor. Room was very clean and the staff were quite helpful.
My corner room was next to the noisy street and sleeping wasn't easy. As a result of being in the the corner room, I also had problems with the internet. It only worked occasionally. If you stay here don't get the corner room! The towels were also as stiff and rough as sandpaper...i don't know if they air dry them, but not the most comfortable drying with after a shower. Other than those issues, the place is ok.
Very good location. Staff are welcoming, helpful. I can recommend this hostel for a few days of city visit.
Hostel is at an upper floor. In order to enter the hostel, you need to ring the bell and tell your room number. This was a bit strange when we first arrived the hostel. The corridors sometimes heavily smelled food (meat).
Location great! Easy to find. Near a metro station. Near restaurants and shopping. Very clean. Attractive rooms. Safe. Safe in room. Own bathroom. Friendly staff. Nice quiet air conditioner.
Construction on building at the moment. No access to balcony because of this.
Very clean and cosy. Central location, close to a metro station. Friendly staff. Air conditioning was also included.
Since it was in the city centre and the walls were quite thin, we could barely sleep because of the noise from the streets. I guess this is the case with all hostals in central Madrid. Not a problem if you like to party until 5am every morning.
Fantastic location - 30 seconds from Sol, very clean and tidy, helpful staff.
Was quite noisy at night, but no more than I would have expected from a hotel right in the city centre, and there was double glazing so that did help. Our room was pretty small, but it didn't matter as we weren't in it very much and it had everything we needed!
Excellent location if you want to be in the heart of the hip. The first night struggled with out side noise, Irish bar below, but once we got to grips with the air conditioning settings, we had the two balcony doors closed and it eliminated sound successfully. Wonderful tapas at St.Anna plaza, and for simple, smiley great little bar for food and drink (also ace breaky) just four doors up is 'venta el Buscon'
Small rooms, if three sharing, but cozy.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Localization next to Plaza del Sol! When I was there the building as well as the hostel was under the redecoration so probably this is not the best moment to evaluate it. But I assume it can only be better and it was really good anyway.
Noice - downstairs there are pubs and discoteques.
The location is fantastic, most of the places of interest are within walking distance. It is located on the 2nd floor of a historical building which looks a bit rundown, but the hostal is very nicely kept by the owners and very clean. LHardy (the oldest gourmet restaurant in Spain)and Museo of Jamon (an economically priced F&B outlet where you can also buy all types of Spanish ham) are housed in the same building. The owners were very helpful with our transport arrangement, booking of tours, performance and dinners. My second visit was just as good. The attached bathroom is small but considering the price, we had good value for our money.
Personnals were very nice and helpful all the time and we have clean towels every day.
Only the facade was under reconstruction, so our room was dark and we have no idea how the weather is.
Noise from resturant / bar below...
The hotel is located very close to the Sol, excellent location for Madrid trip. The hotel is not a luxury kind but is kept very clean and has welcoming feel.
